Since it was raining last sat, we decided to cook up some dish for two. I suggested to cook grilled fish with lots of garlic, cos I know my hub love that dish. The first time I tried it was a very bad experience. The fish turn out nice in appreance but it tasted like a salty fish. Cos when I took out the fish from the fridge, I saw water soaking the fillet of fish and thou that the water had washed all the salt away and this blur me readd more salt onto the fillet of fish again to make it into a salty fish. We had no choice but to eat all up and end up drinking lots and lots of water.

And so this is my 2nd attempt, this time my hub keep reminding me not to put too much salt and dont over cooked the chopped garlic. Cos the last time the garlic was almost burned. This time I am very careful not to add to much of salt and I thou this time the fish will turn out just nice. The garlic wasn’t over burned which I thou this time I must have successed in cooking this dish. It was such a simple dish to cook lor. The french beans was cooked with the butter and it taste wonderful. Even my hub commented that the french beans was well cooked. Hoorya! And the campbell corn with chicken soup, it tasted nice too, can’t be worst since it a canned food.

Everything was well done except for the fish again. I dished out the main course and ask my hub to take a bite to see whether it is salty or not. He told me it tasted just nice. And so I thou, this time I managed to cook this SIMPLE dish. The moment I took my 1st bite, my heart sunk. It was again a plate of salty fillet fish. I asked him why it was salty and say it wasn’t. He just smiled and commented that he doesnt’t want me to feel disappointed again. I wasn’t disappointed but just feel curious why is the fish still tasted salty. My hub then told me that butter contained salt that why it makes the fish tasted more salty even if I just put a little of it.

After the two failed attempts, I will not give up and will try again but this time, I will not add any salty to the fillet fish again.

Me must jia you!

Nice DIY Nail

This time I spent around 2 hours to DIY my nail. Me is proud de lor. Can be a manicurist liao.

A tai tai life

I took a 1/2 day leave on Sat just to be a tai tai for a day… hehe. That’s a joke actually.

Being a nice wife I am (er hmm…), me decided to accompany my hub for breakfast (we hardly do that nowadays) and shopping after that. Beside this, I hardly do my pedicure and I found one which I feel pampered about. The place is called “Polished Diva” and it my 1st time there.

Why do I feel pampered? Cos not only do they have a cosy ambience and a whole range of color of nail polishes, they served drinks (only apply for weekends), they have a portable DVD player right beside you and whole range of movies DVDs for u to choose from and a massage chair to sit on while you do ur mani or pedi. How’s that for a service. I  dont see any of that in other nails parlour (or maybe they do).

Once enter the parlour, I come across a dark room with red walls and a few massage chairs along side. Right opposite me, there is a sofa, a counter top beside it and huge mirror right across the wall. Just beside me, there is a small bar counter (that’s where they served the drink to u). And beside it there is a shelve with lots of OPI nail polishes for u to choose from.

Once seated, a lady came over and handed me a menu to choose my complimentary drinks, Apple juice I chose. Next another lady handed me a catalogue with lots of movies to choose, they even have “Sex and the city” sitcom too…. I chose “2046″, bad choice, cos the show almost make me fall asleep. Not that Tony Leung is boring. Then the works started. 1st they soaked ur feet in some kind of blue liquid, I am thinking it expensive water. Next they apply some cream, to help to remove ur cuticles/dead skins around ur nail bed. Next they apply another some kind of oil around my nails and the feets got soaked again. Then they apply my foot with some scrubs (must be expensive cos it green) and started scrubbing away… make me feel abit tickled and end with a moisture to my feet.

I choose a soft pink as the color. They did a very good job to paint my nails and I am quite satisfy with it, except that the room that is abit too dark. With the little lighting they have, I cant really see the color charts well, although they have a table lamp for u, still I find abit hard for me to see more clearer. But I will come back again for their service. Good recommendations from Cosycot.

With the service like this, it makes every gals feel like a tai tai…. and so do I.

Beside good service, they even have party package, like Bridal Shower, Birthday Parties, Pajama Parties or even Girls Nite Out. That give me a idea to have a small party for my jie meis as a “Thank you” gift for helping me.

After the pedi, we went to Novena Sq to register for the upcoming National Dog Walk 2008 which located at West Coast Park. Next we head down to Orchard to search for my hub’s shirts for his photoshoot. It not easy to get those shirt with wing collars (those for Tuxedo). And we end up asking our bridal shop to tailor -made for him. At nite, we ended our “hot date” with a movie, “Hellboys 2 – The Golden Army”.

I am thinking whether to use this multiply acct as my “purely-for-my-wedding-updates” or “just-a-rojah-updates-of-everyday-life’. Since I got a blog mainly for my daily rattling/updates and a blog for my house updates, now what I need is a blog which is mainly for my wedding… At least when I categorised it, readers or me can know which to read at and not looking at a blog which got a repeated posts or a messy blog. I want all my blogs to follow me for the rest of my life so I must make a good one.

I also have been thinking whether to start a blog ab “The dog who blog”. In another 4mths I will be moving out to my new house with my dog and I am sure my family will miss my little fur-ball. By having a blog all about his daily life/thinking/updates/anything….my family and friends will know what my dog is up to and what he do everyday, although it may not concern everyone…but I wish to do something meaningful… or wasn’t it? Even if one day he is gone, I can read back and get the memories going.

BUT, I am reluctant to, cos I have 3 blogs in hand now and to add another one more, I don’t know I got the time to do so. I haven’t really been faithful to my other 3 blog, frankly speaking. But really, I wish to do something really productive…. haha…

Should I or shouldn’t I?

P.S: I just got myself another pair of heels… err …for my wedding… (I will blog another day)

Guilty but in Love

Love at first sight.

Guilty I felt. But who cares….moreover it on sale. How can I resist a GSS. Blame on GSS. Not my fault.

Please meet my Mr. Coach, Greenie.

Pss…. Coach is on 30% SALE!!! Hurry if u wanna grab some home.

After the 3rd day of chemical peel, my face started to peel like a snake but in a very slow process. Even if it peels, my feace still feel tight. I keep applying the repair cream which the Dr. prescribed but it still cant cover the peeling.

Last Friday, I had steamboat(my all time favourite passtime) with a couples of my galfriends. I was such a excited mood and forgot about my face and just then one of my galfriend realised my face started to crack just below my chin. I took a mirror(started carrying recently) and I was shocked to see my skin act like a opening of a envelope and what I saw was the pinky skin underneath. I applied the repair cream but still it cant covered much. Anyway I cant be bother much and keep eating my steamboat.

The next day, we cooked some Niang Tou Foo Noodle @ my new house while my hub busying designing the wedding cards. Then it was ready to serve. As usually, my hub had the habit of switching on the TV while we had our food @ the dinning table. It fine thou cos it will be very quiet just to eat when there is oni 2 of us. I dont like my food to be serve in a too quiet environment either. Alittle music can helped us to enjoy our food more enjoyable. Anyway, we were watching Jacky Wu funny show and we were laughing away while eating but I cant laugh too hard cos of my tight face. Just when I was about to finish my bowl of noodle, I feel my face like there is skin cracking, I quickly ran to look in the mirror and I was right. I ran back to my hub who has just finished his noodle and was sitting on the sofa and show him my cracking face. I expected a shocking… “eeewwwww” from him, but instant he just say, “it ok.. not that bad, it’s recovering” and keep examinating my face. I feel abit paiseh and told him, “I am such a ugly thing” and walk off to finish my food.

It the fifth day after the peel and it still peeling… and it is also marked the fifth day of no make up to work. I dont even what to go out after work or on weekend, so I can just hid at home.

I feel like a snake changing its skin.

After doing my 2 treatment for my pigmentation, I finally had my chemical peel done today. It doesn’t feel as painful as I though. Just feel abit of burning sensation and abit of redness on my face… as I am typing away(which is few hrs after the treatment), the burning, the redness have already subsided.

After the treatment, we headed down to “Beppu Ramen Restaurant” (cant rem the name well.. oops) @ China Square. The food was fantastic. I order a “4 chilli” grade of ramen and I must admit it is very spicy for a person like me who can take spicy food really well…. and of cos my hub order one of his orignal ramen and his all-time-favourite fried softshell crab…. This is the 1st time I see such a big softshell crab and it taste nice…. Yummy!!!

Nothing to do

I had been trying hard to make my nails look tip top conditions. I am a person who seldom go for pedi or mani. Not for a person like me, cos I can get easily addicted to do such stuff.

Out of the blue after my dinner, while watching TV, I painted my nails. Then I saw some new stickers which I bought long time ago. Suddenly feel the “hiaoness” in me, I put it on and painted it over with a transparent top coat.

I quite love how it turns out thou…. save my money to go for mani.
